NIC RAWLING AND THE PAPER CINEMA ‘THE MAKING OF MACBETH’

To accompany The Paper Cinema’s digital presentation of their most recent acclaimed theatre show, Macbeth, this exhibition displays the incredible artwork that is created by Nic Rawling, lead artist, director and illustrator of The Paper Cinema. For each production Nic creates 1,000s of individual, hand-drawn illustrations that make up the live performances. 

Founded in 2004, by Nic Rawling, Imogen Charleston and Christopher Reed, The Paper Cinema creates unique, magical performances that combine the languages of animation, music, film and theatre. Accompanied by a live soundtrack, intricate pen and ink illustrations are skilfully manipulated in real-time in front of a video camera and projected onto a big screen. 

The live digital presentation of Macbeth takes place in B.A.D Boscombe Arts Depot on Wednesday 30 June and Thursday 1 July see  PAPER CINEMA: MACBETH
