About the film:
Minari, 2020, (12A)directed by Lee Isaac Chung
Starring: Yuh-Jung Youn, Yeri Han, Steven Yeun
“Infused with a wonderful sentimentality, Lee Isaac Chung’s fictionalised account of his rural US childhood explores the growing pains of a family farm.” The Guardian ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, Minari follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother. Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, Minari shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.
With special guests on Friday 11 Nov – Artist talk from Tomorrow Girls Troop and zine workshop by Grrrl Zine. Details and booking for this event will be available soon.
Language: Korean and English with English subtitles
