James and Ryan, known for their comedy musings, are branching out and breaking off into serious drama theatre, marking a milestone in their (what is soon to be) illustrious careers.
This bleak, begotten, heartfelt piece, demonstrates the rawer side of James and Ryan (copyright 2011). Chronicling the life of Turtle Phillips Mcgee, a young angsty buck with everything to gain and nothing to show as he spirals through life, like a flame, looking for some sort of meaning, affirmation or requiem.
The tragic tale has been described as ‘haunting’, ‘a damn good show’, and ‘as good as it gets has nothing on this, neither does Sweeney Todd and why should they?’.
