Secret Voices The Outsiders Project

9th May 2019 | 2:30 pm

If you had a chance to tell your story, would you speak? What would you say?
Following the ground-breaking performance The Vodka Hunters, premiered and commissioned for the 2018 BEAF festival, described as “a perception-changing experience” – Nuffield Theatre Southampton, award-winning writer and director Nell Leyshon
works with a group of outsiders from Boscombe to create another site-specific work.
Staged in a former department store and accompanied by a new commissioned sound work from British/Iranian musician and composer Deena Jackman, this powerful performance reveals the secret voices of the cast; their voices, their stories.
These are real voices heard from
a prison cell, a dark street, an empty room…. voices waiting to be heard, stories wanting to be told. A new work giving voice to the cast of outsiders performing in this poignant, shocking and truly original production.
£13.50/£10, available from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/secret-voices-the-outsiders-project-tickets-59266644128?utm_campaign=new_event_email&utm_medium=email&utm_source=eb_email&utm_term=viewmyevent_button
