Sign of the Times: THE TOYS ARE REVOLTING- Bernadette Russell

8th May 2019 | 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Sat 4 & 6 May: drop in workshops
Sat 4 – Sun 12 May: exhibition

The BCCA opens its doors again with a programme curated by artist Stuart Semple who launched BCCA with his exhibition, ‘It’s OK to ask me if I am not OK’ at the 2018 BEAF Festival.
Stuart’s first curated project is with writer, storyteller and performer Bernadette Russell.
The Toys are Revolting invites children and their families to think about the ways they’d change the world if they could. Drop-in workshops at the INFORMATION HUB, by the Police Box.
We’re asking all visitors to donate unwanted toys (teddies or dolls). The toys will be used to hold placards created during the workshops, bearing the hopes of the children of Boscombe.
The toys and placards will be on display throughout the festival and donated to charity afterwards.
