B.A.D. Cinema

We are a community led cinema space in the heart of Boscombe.

As part of BEAF’s on going projects we screen independent films at our B.A.D. space (Boscombe Arts Depot) located along Boscombe high-street in an unused shopping centre. We are a community cinema, enabling people in the area to come together and to see independent films that they may not have access to.

We have a D.I.Y ethos; our community cinema is filled with a collection of sofas and provide a welcoming inclusive space. B.A.D. cinema was set up in Autumn of 2021 following our festival and with Cinema for All’s Launchpad Scheme with BFI. Moving forward we will be programming films on Wednesdays and seek to open up wider conversations around the films presented through workshops, talks and q&a’s where possible.

Thank you to Film Hub South West for selecting us and supporting us with the help of BFI for the Audience Development fund and Cinema For All’s Launchpad and Next Gen schemes.

If you have a film you would like to see us screen or have an idea for an event or collaboration, then get in touch with becca.beaf@gmail.com and stay up to date with our latest opportunities and future artist commissions within our festival by signing up to our newsletter.

Examples of past screenings include: Ali & Ava, Frida, Limbo and Touched (an alternative valentine’s programme of shorts by female and non binary filmmakers)
