CHURCHILL GARDENS : WOMEN OF WORDS – A Family Friendly Performance
July 4 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
What tales are told, what songs are sung and poems spoken when women are the storytellers?
In this family-friendly performance, Valise Noire Storytelling Theatre share words of empowerment, joy, pleasure and strength, created in collaboration with local women in refuges, sharing their new writing with tales of women of Dorset’s heritage.
This is an interactive, rolling improvisation, so come along at any time to enjoy word song, bird song and the voices of Dorset women past and present, in amongst the trees at Boscombe’s lush green Churchill Gardens!
This piece has been made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, funded by National Lottery players. It has been created in partnership with BEAF, charitable housing association BCHA, the Dorset History Centre and the Russell-Cotes Museum.
