kid – cancelled

June 17, 2023 @ 7:00 PM - June 18, 2023 @ 8:30 PM

Si Mack

We are sorry to announce that our one man show ‘kid’ from The Outsiders Project can’t go ahead for personal reasons.

The Outsiders Project is the proud leader of the Safe Homes Network, supporting unheard voices to make and perform their own work. We understand that at times projects have to be postponed, but we continue to work with our artists so they can develop their ideas in our supportive space.

In its place we are delighted to present the brilliant one woman show from Holly Spillar, Hole. Saturday 17th June at 7pm. Please book here.

kid is a one man show written and performed by Si Mack, writer in residence at The Outsiders Project. The show started in one of our Lock-Ins.

A man receives a letter and opens it to find that Social Services have a 6 year old boy in their care and they have been told he is the father.
The show is a beautifully written story of that child and that man. It is a profound, dark and funny exploration of fatherhood.

kid is directed by Nell Leyshon, Artistic Director of The Outsiders Project, who has worked with Si Mack since 2005. Jo Billingham is the Assistant Director and Producer for kid.
