Overview:

Calm with Horses is a violent crime drama set in Ireland. A former boxer-turned-gangster-heavy is not as ruthless as his employers would like, which causes tension.

About this event: 

Doors open from 7pm, highstreet entrance to Boscombe Arts Depot (B.A.D.) on Wednesday 5 October. With support from Cinema for All we are excited to continue our film screenings on Wednesday evenings.

In darkest rural Ireland, ex-boxer Douglas ‘Arm’ Armstrong has become the feared enforcer for the drug-dealing Devers family, whilst also trying to be a good father to his autistic young son. Torn between these two families, Arm’s loyalties are truly tested when he is asked to kill for the first time.

It had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 8 September 2019. It was released in Ireland on 13 March 2020, by Altitude Film Distribution.
