BOSKINO is a celebration of modern Polish cinema brought right to the heart of Boscombe; showcasing films that speak to the Polish experience. And what better way to start a celebration, than with a wedding?
Overview:
The In-Laws (Teściowie) is a comedy drama that spans across one evening as a rich couple’s son deserts his fiancee at the altar. However, with guests coming from far away, the couple decide to proceed with a lunch anyway. The parents of the almost-newlyweds meet, and the two polar-opposite couples find out what happened.
About this event:
Doors open from 7pm at the high-street entrance to Boscombe Arts Depot (B.A.D.) on Wednesday 12 October. The film will begin at 7:30pm.
This event is part of a partnership between BEAF Arts Co with BOSKINO as part of Film Hub South Wests Beyond Boundaries programme.

Winner of the audience award at Vancouver International Film Festival
Hosted by Anne-Marie Dames, a half-Polish local film programmer and graphic designer. Anne-Marie grew up watching a variety of Polish comedies with her mum and hopes to share the wonderful growth and innovation of modern Polish cinema with the community here in Bournemouth as well as indulging in the uniqueness of Polish humour through the wonderful form of cinema.
This event will be hosted both in English and Polish. Feel free to join after for a post-film discussion and some Polish snacks.
