BEAF Festival 2023

BEAF 2023 is bringing unheard voices to Boscombe. We are hosting 10 days of exhibitions, performances, workshops and events.

This year will be our most ambitious yet, showcasing unheard voices and giving space to local, national and international artists. Including: Official Launch Party featuring BCUC and Harare Music at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth • Boscombe World, a major new exhibition by artist Harold Offeh • Stateless, a dance circus performance from Joli Vyann • ‘kid’ by Si Mack from The Outsiders Project • Portraits of Boscombe by photographer Brendan Barry • Pop-up Arts Pavilion for workshops • Plus lots more.

EARLY BOOKINGS RECOMMENDED FOR:

BCUC – our launch party brings the vibes from Soweto and Zimbabwe, with BCUC giving contemporary voice to the ancestral traditions of indigenous people supported by Harare celebrating both the past and the future of African dance music. Early bird tickets available until 31 April.

The extraordinary dance circus performance by Joli Vyann with all ticket sales going directly to support our local food bank. Stateless combines the voices from refugees from our Seeking Refuge Project, fused with the experimental sounds from Japanese composer, Nao Masuda, playing live on the Taiko drums and Iranian musician Babak Barbod.

We can’t reveal yet what you will see in Harold Offeh’s Boscombe World but book your free ticket for the opening event to be the first to experience this new commission.
